I’m a big proponent of gifting items and services made by women for women. It’s a way of supporting small businesses and other ladies. Here are some of my favorites, and please know that the list is just a small sample of what is out there!
Pressed Intentions
Maura Hernandez is a journalist and an editor who launched this Etsy shop as a creative outlet. I own one of her beautiful jewelry dishes, and it inspires me every day.
B.Fabulous® Cards
Luly B., who lives in Miami, has curated a set of 21 cards with her own inspirational quotes as well as her favorite affirmations and powerful intentions for your desk, vanity or night table. A great gift for any occasion.
Evelyn Brooks Designs
I first met Evelyn Brooks at the National Hispana Leadership Conference a couple of years ago, and bought a bracelet from her. She designs eco-friendly jewelry made of Peruvian huayruro seeds. These are a symbol of good luck, love and happiness.
Cecilia’s Steel
We interviewed Uruguayan born Cecilia Taibo Rahban on Viva Fifty! It´s Cecilia´s mission to inspire women to persevere, and to celebrate both their sensitivities and strengths, through her jewelry pieces. Every piece is designed with intention.
Funk and Fabulous
Lisana Falcón, from Venezuela, is the designer behind this boho brand. It´s been 8 years since I first saw her jewelry and she designed a custom necklace for me that accents basic classic clothes.
Beautiful You: A Radical Guide to Self-Acceptance
Beautiful You: A Daily Guide to Radical Self-Acceptance, by Rosie Molinary was first published in 2004. This second edition continues to empower women to revel in self-acceptance.
Pursecase
I received this case to review last summer and have stopped counting how many times I’m asked about it. Designed by young women for other on-the-go women, it’s perfect to carry your smartphone and essentials. Plus it’s cute!
